INTRODUCING LENA AND FELIX HASSMANN

They are the dream team of German equestrian sport and now they are coming to P.S.I. Dressage & Jumping with the Stars: Lena and Felix Hassmann!

Their love story began – how else could it be – at a horse show a few years ago. Dressage queen Lena Waldmann and German showjumping champion Felix Hassmann have since become a power duo. The couple, who got married this year, are now based in Lienen, Germany, where they run a professional yard from Felix parents’ farm.

Their common goal is to train talented jumping and dressage horses, promote them up to advanced level and, if possible, establish them in top international sport.

Lena Hassmann, nee Waldmann, was born in 1990. Horses have always been her passion and the former flight attendant has established herself as one of the best German dressage riders in recent times. After five years at the renowned Bonhomme Stud near Berlin, where she celebrated some of her biggest successes to date on the stallions Fiderdance, Cadeau Noir or Morricone, she started out on her own in 2022. Since then she has already been able to prepare several promising young horses for bigger tasks. The very same year she campaigned four youngsters at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Harmony with the horse is an important part of Lena’s training philosophy.

Felix Hassmann was born in 1986 in Lienen as the youngest of four brothers. In his family everything revolves around horses, older brother Toni is also a successful jumping rider, father Reinhard is a passionate breeder. Felix received the German Golden Riding Badge at the age of 16 and claimed the title of professional rider champion three-times. He’s competed successfully up to CSI5* level and also won the silver medal at the 2017 World Championships for Young Jumping Horses with his current top horse Quiwitino WZ.
